I started “Chasing Epic Adventures” to share my love of travel. Fall 2026 was supposed to include a destination spa in Arizona and a month exploring Greece. Instead, knee surgery sent me on an unexpected adventure—which unfortunately meant a lot of time on the couch.
Facing 12 weeks of non-weight-bearing recovery and six to ten months before returning to adventure travel, I needed something to keep my restless self occupied. Since sitting still has never been my strong suit, I started writing funny picture books. Apparently, being grounded doesn’t stop my imagination from wandering.
My first book, “Temporarily Out of Order”, finds humour in life on the couch after an injury or surgery, inspired by my own recovery. A second book is already in the works, and I hope to share it soon.
